Bride & Bloom, a farm and floristry in Montgomery, TX, sought to customize their flagship retail shop in Historic Montgomery with artwork that encapsulated their commitment to hand-crafted floristry. Inspired by the timeless beauty of 16th and 17th-century Dutch still lifes, they envisioned a mural that would not only adorn their walls but also narrate their dedication to craftsmanship and elegance.

With meticulous attention to detail of Bride & Bloom's vision, we embarked on the task of bringing their dream mural to life. Over the course of 35 hours, we painted the mural during the construction of their commercial space, ensuring that the shadowy florals resonated with the essence of the brand. Rich, vibrant hues breathed life into the mural, while intricate details added depth and texture, evoking a sense of timelessness and sophistication.

Panoramic Sketch for mural

Concepts for the mural began in watercolor at twelfth the scale of the real-life installation to capture the shadowy flowers from blooms sourced from Bride & Bloom’s farm. Then, Lokal Color worked on-location to transfer the sketches into archival paintings in the commercial interior.

Appreciation from Bride & Bloom

Sarah nailed the vision for the space. Her mural continues to be the best investment I made into the shop’s interior design.
