Great brands are built on strong storytelling, and at Lokal Color, our own story starts with a 13-year friendship. 

While some work relationships are formed in boardrooms, ours began in Sunday school. Rachelle and I have known each other since we were kids, building a friendship that would eventually transform into something much bigger. Reflecting on our early days as kids, I realize that all those chats about art styles and personality quizzes weren’t just passing time—they were the foundation of our future in brand storytelling. 

Our history is more than just a fun fact—it’s the backbone of how we approach brand storytelling at Lokal Color. We craft marketing campaigns that capture the heart of companies and nonprofits that demand attention and move their industries toward social impact. 

Dynamic Duo: How We Reunited in the Spirit of Generosity

After pursuing separate careers—in fine art and graphic design, and Rachelle in social media marketing—a mural project reunited us. I brought Rachelle on as an intern, and together, we developed the studio’s Creative Development Program to nurture young creatives in entry-level design and marketing.
